HARTLAND, MICH., May 19, 2011 – Jump start your summer at the B-Happy Summer Fun Kickoff Party at BIGGBY COFFEE of Hartland (11325 W. Highland Rd.) on Friday, May 27th from 8-10 am! Party-goers can also meet the Co-Founder of BIGGBY COFFEE, Mary Roszel, who will join in on the fun and mingle with guests throughout the morning. For BIGGBY COFFEE of Hartland Owners/Operators, Mike and Denise Bogues, throwing a summer party was something they have wanted to do since opening their store last year.

“Hartland is a remarkable community that means a lot to us. I’m excited to have a fun and interactive event like this to celebrate the community,” Mike Bogues said. “Partnering with other local businesses to throw a party that everyone can enjoy is a great way to enhance our community and to give back to the residents.”

Julie Wood from WHMI 93.5 FM and other businesses in the area including car dealership, LaFontaine will join the party and provide guests a chance to win a two-year lease on a new car. LaFontaine will also be raffling off two $50 gas cards and Snap Fitness of Hartland will be giving away a free six-month membership as well!

A world-class 19’ Lightning sailboat will be set up in the store’s parking lot making the event hard to miss, as Bogues hopes to attract the attention of commuters from M 59 and students on summer vacation to join in on the fun!

“Our location is still fairly new so I want to spread the word to let people know we are here!” Bogues said. “BIGGBY COFFEE has something for everyone and is great for place to enjoy the company of friends, business associates and utilize the free WiFi for studying.”

East Lansing, Mich.-based BIGGBY® COFFEE opened a single store in March of 1995 based on the founding principle that coffee-lovers and the coffee-curious alike would benefit from a less pretentious approach to the standard gourmet café paradigm. BIGGBY COFFEE introduced connoisseur-worthy drinks with pronounceable names like Teddy Bear and Caramel Marvel, and barista staff surprised guests with simple gestures like free kazoos and bouncy balls for no other reason than to brighten their day. The “Big ‘B’” on the orange background caught on, and today BIGGBY COFFEE has 132 cafes open or under contract across six states including Michigan, Ohio, Illinois, South Carolina, Wisconsin and Texas.  For more information, visit www.biggby.com.
